A ceramic coating is a hyper-durable, extremely hard layer of silicon dioxide that cures onto your vehicle’s paint, glass and other surfaces. Think of it as a second skin: a sacrificial layer over your clear coat.
It protects the paint from water spots, contaminants, oxidation, light scratches and scuffs, and leaves a gloss that wax and sealants can’t match. Depending on the coating you choose, it lasts from 1 to 7+ years.
We correct the paint before every coating. The coating locks in whatever is underneath, so the surface has to be as scratch-free as possible for it to bond properly. We don’t coat cars that haven’t had the prep.
Why does it cost what it does? The prep and correction alone can take 7+ hours, it’s the most durable paint protection there is, and certified installation takes serious training: about 90 days with one of the most reputable programs, plus the practice that follows.

Does a coating make my paint scratch-proof?
No. It resists the light swirls you might put in by washing and drying properly. A dirty mitt, a hand or a leg will still scratch the paint, and it won’t stop rock chips; only paint protection film does that.
Does it need maintenance?
Yes. Wash, dry and boost it properly. A coating meant to last six years can start breaking down at year three without care. Coating maintenance starts at $75.
Can it fix peeling clear coat?
No. If the clear coat is failing, the only fix is a repaint.
Where do you do it?
At your home. It needs a garage, and usually takes between 6 and 12 hours of work over two days.
